PTFE, or polytetrafluoroethylene, is a fluoropolymer-based thermoplastic made up entirely of carbon and fluorine atoms. It is commonly known by its DuPont trade name, Teflon. Teflon’s temperature resistance properties are among the highest of all common engineering plastics. It’s also exceptionally corrosion-resistant thanks to its fluoropolymer chemical makeup. CNC machining in PTFE-Teflon is CNC machining PTFE-Teflon is relatively easy due to its low strength and relative softness, though it may be difficult to maintain high levels of precision.
PTFE-Teflon is distinguished from most engineering plastics because of its very high melting point, low friction coefficient, and is chemically inert. These unusual properties have landed PTFE-Teflon coatings their well-known role in non-stick cookware and additional applications in the food and beverage, petrochemical, medical, and electrical components industries.

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a thermoplastic, abbreviated as PTFE, invented by DuPont in 1936 and registered as Teflon® in 1945. It has the characteristics of various other engineering plastics, PTFE is one of the best corrosion-resistant materials in the world today, and is widely used as a sealing material and filling material, and is also known as the “King of Plastics” in China.
Teflon is an ideal material for precision components that require excellent mechanical properties and high-temperature resistance. It also offers superior dimensional stability and low coefficients of friction due to its lubricious nature. Furthermore, the chemical resistance properties of Teflon make it suitable for parts that come into contact with harsh chemicals or extreme temperatures. This makes it a versatile material, suitable for many different industries and applications. In addition to these advantages, Teflon CNC machining is a cost-effective way of producing components in high volumes with superior accuracy. This makes it a popular choice for many industries, particularly those that require complex parts with tight tolerances.
Our CNC machining capabilities for PTFE products include CNC milling and turning, offering a range of services to meet the needs of our customers.
Our commitment to quality control ensures that all parts produced are consistent in terms of size, shape, and finish. We also provide post-processing services such as heat treating and coating for added protection against wear or corrosion.

PTFE comes in an opaque white or black color and has a slippery surface texture. In addition to its overall texture, many different surface finishes can be achieved during machining.
Because Teflon is so soft, burrs can be a problem when machining Teflon®. With over years of plastics machining experience, Anpllocnc possesses the knowledge and technologies required to produce burr-free Teflon® parts. Anpllocnc uses Cryogenic Deburring to remove burrs in Teflon® parts. This process eliminates hours of labor that some shops might spend on the deburring process.
